REVIEW – High Liner Tortilla Crusted Tilapia from Costco (Frozen)
This tortilla crusted tilapia from Costco has become one of our quick, go-to meals when we can't figure out what to eat. We cook it using the conventional oven instructions. The instructions say to cook them at 425 degrees F for 10-13 minutes, but we usually cook it for 14 or 15 minutes so the crust is crispy and the fish never gets mushy. One thing that makes this different than other frozen breaded/crusted fishes I've had is that only one side is crusted. It makes it easier to cook because there's no flipping midway.
The tilapia comes out flaky on the inside and crunchy on the outside. It has a nice and savory, well-seasoned Mexican food taste to it, and it has a little bit of spice, as well. Sometimes I wrap one in a soft flour tortilla and eat it as a fish taco -- and it tastes great that way, too. I really enjoy the taste of these, and I'm reminded how delicious they are every time I have one!

REVIEW – High Liner Tortilla Crusted Tilapia from Costco (Frozen)
I deep fry these. I let the oil get hot and drop them in for 6-8 minutes and they come out amazing! Definitely a go to meal.
Is this Tilapia gluten free?
Is this fish has halal seasoning on it? No becan …. Right?
Costco please bring back!
I just bought this at my Costco in Northern Indiana on April 18, 2021.
Every time my Costco has this I buy 3-4 boxes because it sells out so fast. Wish they would keep more in stock.
Did costco stop selling Tortilla Crusted Tilapia?? I can’t find it anywhere!!!
I can’t find it either. I hope they bring it back! It’s the only fish I can get my husband to eat!
They only sell in in certain places. Depending on where you live you can not find it.
MY FAVORITE FISH EVER.
Love, Love, Love it….
Always got to go out of my way and make a special trip to Costco every couple of weeks to stock up on this.
So easy and convenient… taste snacking adds well.
Usually I eat it over salad greens out in a tortilla with some shredded cabbage.
Anyhow, I highly recommend it.
Can this be cooked in an air fryer?
Yep, sure can.
These are the bomb and I use to have at least 1 a week until Costco stopped selling them. Called the company and they said many many people have called and complained they can’t get these anymore. COSTCO….BRING THEM BACK!!!!!
Agreed…. I was able to get these again just last week in San Diego after months of it being gone. Hope they are back where you are too!
I went to Costco in Simi valley today and they are BACK!! I picked up two boxes
Try Target…
I’ve seen them there once in awhile…
Or, I think you might be able to able to order them online…
Is this tortilla crusted tilapia finally available again at the Costa Mesa/Santa Ana, California stores?????
They aren’t online or at the Irvine location. Sad! I love these!!
Been a fish taco guy for many years. When these come out of the oven they take me right back to the waterfront in Ensenada, Mexico, where fish tacos were 3 for a dollar. Great combination of flavors… corn tortilla – yes! – squeeze of lime – yes! – you can add a little white sauce or mayo if you like, but just right out of the oven, these are tasty!
I had never eaten fish tacos. And ever since I got a sample at Costco I can’t imagine living without it. Needless to say we love it. Slice it up , put it on a corner tortilla, a squeeze of lime and some pico de Gallo. It is sooo good and a re as lot quick meal. In fact that’s what we just had for dinner.
I noticed there was not a reply to the one and only question on here… I myself would like to know the origin of your Tilapia also.. ??
According to the company’s website, the tilapia is farmed in Indonesia and China.
What is this tilapia’s source of origin?
My box says USA, specifically NH.
Yeah, I’m sure that really happened.
