We decided to try some Korean Beef Kalbi (in addition to some Thai Coconut Curry Chicken) we saw at Kroger / Fry's that was on clearance. The beef came in a sealed bag, and it was pretty easy to cook following the microwave instructions.
The kalbi beef pieces were pretty good pieces of meat. The kalbi sauce was thick, and it had sort of the taste it's supposed to have, but it was too sweet. Unfortunately, it tasted more just like a regular American bbq sauce than a Korean one.

REVIEW – Kroger Korean Kalbi Beef
Saw the Kroger Korean Kalbi Beef on the Freezer of Copps, got 2 packages, I use the beef for sandwiches but the meat is really tough, flavor was good though, I’m afraid the second unopen package is the same way since they were in the same lot, I don’t think I’ll try it again.
I used this beef to make some fusion food. Put pieces on a burrito with shredded cheese, lime mayo, fresh pico de gallo, avacado slices and some sort of salad greens. It was awesome!
I am so disappointed because I used this Korean Kalbi beef once a week and sometimes more to make the best peppered steak. I have gone to most all stores in memphis area trying to find it because my store does not have it any longer. I could not find it at any krogers. I have been using it for several years. If I find this at any other business[ Walmart or others, I will start doing all my shopping there.
Kroger’s 46725 zip code has it.
