Package of Red's Frozen Steak Burrito
Red's Steak Burrito

My boyfriend's mom bought us some frozen Red's steak burritos when she went to Whole Foods. Unfortunately, the burritos had beans in them that were mushed up with everything. Since I don't like beans, my boyfriend was the only one who ate them. The following is his review of the steak burrito:

The inside of the burrito was mostly a mush of rice, cheese, corn, and beans with a few pieces of fatty steak. There were about 10 pieces of steak in the whole burrito which appeared to be 1cm by 1cm (or smaller) cubes. The steak was OK, but there wasn't enough of it.

The burrito wasn't spicy, and the most predominant taste in the burrito was brown rice. Leftover sauce packets from Taco Bell had to be used to make it taste better.

Package of Trader Jose's Cheese Enchiladas from Trader Joe's
Tray of Trader Jose's Cheese Enchiladas from Trader Joe's
Cooked Trader Jose's Cheese Enchiladas from Trader Joe's

These cheese enchiladas from Trader Joe's were great for when I was craving Mexican food. I don't like beans so I was happy that Trader Joe's had enchiladas without beans. One package comes with two enchiladas in a rectangular container. I followed the microwave instructions and punctured the plastic with a fork & microwaved the package for 9 minutes.

The tortilla was soft and slightly chewy, and the overall taste was a very savory chile flavor with a little bit of tang. It also wasn't very spicy, but it tasted delicious.

Box of Jose Ole: Frozen Beef & Cheese Mini Tacos
Jose Ole: Frozen Beef & Cheese Mini Tacos

I bought a box of frozen Jose Ole Mini Tacos with beef and cheese because the box was on clearance for $2.50 at Safeway.

The microwave instructions on the box state to microwave 8 frozen mini tacos on a plate for 1-2 minutes.

I didn't feel like eating 8 tacos (even though they were small) so I warmed up 4 mini tacos in the microwave for 50 seconds.

The main thing I tasted in the tacos was a weird blended meat and nacho-y cheese taste. There also seemed to be pieces of gristle in the beef, and it was pretty oily. For me, the tortilla was the best part of the tacos.

My boyfriend also tried some, and he didn't think they were too bad and stated that they tasted fine.

Although he thought they were OK, I didn't really like the tacos at all, and I couldn't eat more than two of them. After eating some of my second taco, I decided to just eat the tortillas because I couldn't stand the taste of the beef and cheese.
