Packaged Neoguri Noodles - Seafood flavor
Neoguri Seafood Noodles on a fork

I had some Neoguri packaged noodles (spicy seafood flavor) from Fry's for lunch.

You can boil the noodles or warm them up with water in the microwave. The noodles only took 8 minutes on high warmed up in the microwave, and they came out great.

They are listed as Udon type noodles, but they do not really have the texture of Udon noodles, however, they are thicker than the standard packaged ramen noodles. The noodles had a very flavorful, spicy taste, and they didn't really have too much of a seafoody taste. The noodles were delicious, and I ate it all up pretty quickly.

Oishi Sushi California & Salmon Rolls
Oishi Sushi Tempura Shrimp

We ate at Oishi Sushi for dinner and had two different sushi rolls along with Udon noodles and tempura shrimp.

The miso soup that came before the meal was pretty tasty, and it was start to the dinner.

The California rolls were like usual California rolls, but they were delicious, especially with the fresh avocado taste.

The salmon roll was just like the California roll except with salmon on top, and I really enjoyed those, as well.

It would have been nice to have more Udon noodles in the Udon noodle soup, but the noodles tasted good to me, and they had a good texture. However, my boyfriend thought it was disgusting because the soup was a little on the sweet side, and it tasted "like a bowl of hot salad dressing" to him.

I ordered the Udon noodles with three tempura shrimp, and they were delicious. They were nice, crispy, and light. I don't know what the sauce was that came on the side, but that was sweet and super tasty, as well.

Update: Unfortunately, they are now closed due to a fire. 😥

Trader Ming's Cha Siu Bao Chinese Pork Buns from Trader Joe's
Plate of Trader Ming's Cha Siu Bao Chinese Pork Buns from Trader Joe's

I tried some Chinese Pork Buns from Trader Joe's as a late night snack.

I have never had Chinese pork buns before so I decided to try these. I sometimes don't like eating foods in the middle of other food (if that makes any sense), and I think that was the case here.

I liked eating the outer bready part which was soft and just a little sweet, but the pork on the inside was too sweet for me, and I did not like the taste of the sweet pork with the outer bun. This was similar to Korean red bean buns, and I don't like the sweet filling inside those, either. However, my boyfriend didn't mind the filling and thought they tasted pretty good. For the remaining pork buns, I mainly ate the outer part, while my boyfriend ate the inner pork parts.
