Box of Lemongrass Chicken Stix from Trader Joe's
Lemongrass Chicken Stix from Trader Joe's cooked

I've seen the frozen Thai Lemongrass Chicken Stix at Trader Joe's for a while, but I've never had it, so I finally decided to give a box a try. I cooked the whole box of 10 in a toaster oven following the oven instructions. I baked them on top of foil instead of a baking sheet.

The chicken stick wrappers were crunchy like spring rolls, and the texture on the filling inside was good; it wasn't mushy. I liked the slightly sweet lemongrass flavor of the "lemongrass-flavored" chicken. Unfortunately, that wasn't the strongest taste. The taste of the chicken was a little lemony and VERY peppery. The first "chicken stick" I had was OK, but as I continued eating, the pepper taste became way too overwhelming, and I couldn't eat any more.

Tub of Pub Cheese from Trader Joe's
Pub Cheese from Trader Joe's

Last time we went to Trader Joe's, we decided to try a spreadable cheese. The Sharp Cheddar Pub Cheese (aka Pug Cheese) jumped off the shelf. Some other spreadable cheeses have mayonnaise, but this didn't have any, which was good. I'm not usually a big fan of spreadable cheeses, but this Pub Cheese had a nice cheddar cheese taste that wasn't weird or too salty, and it was delicious!

I had some with bread, but it's delicious enough to eat by itself directly from the tub. We finished the whole tub in about a week... so we just bought some more. Too bad the Pub Cheese doesn't come in a bigger container :(

Bag of Kirkland Signature Large (21/25) Cooked Tail-on Shrimp from Costco

Cooked Kirkland Signature Large (21/25) Cooked Tail-on Shrimp from Costco

We bought some of the larger Kirkland Signature frozen shrimp from Costco to grill (even though it's already cooked). We took some of the frozen shrimp out and thawed it in the refrigerator overnight.

The next day before we grilled the shrimp, we patted down the shrimp to get rid of the extra moisture. We sprayed a foil tray with Pam and put the shrimp on the tray. The shrimp comes already seasoned with salt, but we still added a little salt and pepper to it.

To grill the shrimp, we turned the grill on max heat on all burners and put the foil pan on the grill. After the shrimp were on the grill for about 1 minute, we flipped the shrimp and cooked for another minute, and then they were done!

The shrimp was very easy to cook with a little bit of grilling and tasted delicious!
