General guidelines used for food ratings:
DISGUSTING: It was inedible or almost inedible.
BLEGH: I didn't like it. I probably wouldn't eat it again even if someone gave it to me.
OK: I might eat it if someone gave it to me, but I wouldn't buy it myself.
GOOD: I liked it. I would probably buy it or have it again, but it's not quite delicious.
DELICIOUS: YUM! I will definitely have it again.
Many of my reviews are of frozen / packaged foods. While they're not as good as fresh foods, if they taste great to me, they'll get a great rating. My ratings are very subjective and based on my personal preferences of taste and texture. I'm just your typical consumer of food and do not consider myself a food connoisseur.
Some of my personal preferences:
I don't like beans. I hate that so many Mexican foods have beans as filler!
I don't like sour cream (except on potatoes).
I don't like mayo on sandwiches.
I don't like oatmeal much.
I don't add milk to cereal... too mushy!
Now that I think about it, I don't like a lot of "mushy" foods.
I don't like a lot of lemon-y things. Lemon muffins, meyer lemon cake... Yuck.
I'm not a big fan of pie filling, but I love pie crust.
I love Asian foods and spicy foods.
Though I can be picky, that won't stop me from trying new things. Feel free to request a review!
