Box of Isabella's Kitchen Chicken Enchilada Bake
Isabella's Kitchen Chicken Enchilada Bake

My boyfriend got some of the Isabella's Chicken Enchilada Bake from Costco. I don't like chicken enchilada bakes (or chicken enchiladas), so it isn't something I would buy on my own. While it is microwavable, we cooked it in a conventional oven following the instructions on the back of the box.

The chicken enchilada bake was fairly rich and cheesy with a little adobo sauce. I don't like beans, so one good thing about this chicken enchilada bake was that it didn't have any beans. It also wasn't spicy at all. Overall, it was OK, but the cheese had a little too much of a sour taste for me. It also gave me a bit of a headache after eating it (probably from the oils).

Bag of Trader Joe's Penne Arrabbiata
Trader Joe's Penne Arrabbiata

I tried some Penne Arrabbiata pasta from Trader Joe's. It comes frozen with little frozen discs of sauce on top of the pasta.

Trader Joe's Penne Arrabbiata frozen discs of sauce

We prepared the frozen pasta by just warming it up in the microwave following the cooking instructions on the back of the bag. We also added some shredded Parmesan cheese to the pasta after microwaving it.

This pasta was definitely better than the usual frozen pastas, and one thing I really liked was that the sauce wasn't too sweet. The sauce was more savory and only a tiny bit spicy. I also liked the taste of this sauce more than the Trader Joe's Arrabbiata sauce that comes in a jar. The penne pasta didn't come out underdone or super mushy, either. Overall, it was pretty delicious.

Box of McDonald's Mighty Wings
McDonald's Mighty Wings

I tried some of McDonald's Mighty Wings. They were pretty good -- they seemed pretty big compared to the usual chicken wings, and the breading was nice and crispy. They had 3-piece and 5-piece chicken wings, and I was amazed that 3 pieces were pretty filling for me. They were a little bit spicy but not overwhelmingly spicy, and they weren't overly salty, either.

I tried ordering these again early December, but they said they no longer had them. Where did the Mighty Chicken Wings go? I was sad to see that the limited time offer for the Mighty Wings ended at the end of November... Oh well, maybe one day they will have them out again. At least I got to try them!
