Firebirds Grilled Tenderloin Salad

I went to Firebirds Wood Fired Grill for dinner.

The free bread that came with our meal was a soft, warm, and tasty white bread. I ate the bread plain, and it was very good.

I ordered a Grilled Tenderloin Salad and asked for dressing on the side & no bleu cheese crumbles because I don't like my salad over-dressed, and I don't like the taste of bleu cheese. I also asked for the grilled tenderloin to be cooked medium. The steak came out more pink than most other places, which I was actually OK with me, since it was nice, tender, and juicy. The balsamic vinaigrette dressing was nice and sweet, and it went really well with the salad. Overall, I really loved the salad.

Firebirds Chicken Pasta

The Chicken Pasta with Chile Asiago cream sauce had a nice creamy texture. It was just a little bit spicy, which was nice, and the cream sauce wasn't as heavy as other pastas I have had, but it was still pretty filling. The pasta wasn't overcooked, and the bacon bits went well with the pasta, although the bacon did make the pasta a little bit on the salty side.

New China Super Buffet plate

I ate at New China Super Buffet for dinner.

They had moved food around and added a sushi bar & Hibachi grill since the last time I went there. The majority of chicken & beef dishes they had were sweet, but not overbearingly so. I didn't try everything (for example, I didn't try the sushi), but the majority of what I ate was tasty.

One thing I really didn't like were the overly cheesy mussels and crab meat. I might have liked those if they got rid of the cheese.

I tried some chicken and noodles with spicy Mongolian sauce on the Hibachi grill. It was a little too spicy for me, but it still tasted good.

Overall, the food was tasty and on the sweet side, but very oily, and I did get a minor headache (probably from the oiliness of the food). However, it was still probably one of the better Asian buffets I've had in Tucson.

Five Guys Burger

I ate at Five Guys and had a cheeseburger (comes with two burger patties) and fries, along with the free peanuts they have.

The burger was pretty good because you can choose your own toppings. My toppings consisted of cheese, raw onions, pickles, and lettuce. It was delicious, however, the top bun was a little too crispy and toasted for me this time I went there. The bottom bun also gets soggy if you let the burger sit around too long.

The fries were soft, delicious, and had a nice potato taste.

The free peanuts were a little salty, but they were still pretty good.

Update (2013): I have been to Five Guys several more times with my boyfriend since my original review, and it is delicious every single time. I have been to a few different Five Guys restaurants, and they have always been very consistent. When I don't need leftovers, I usually get their "little" cheeseburger (instead of their regular one) because the little cheeseburger is the same size but only has one burger patty, instead of two. But often times we will each get a regular two-patty burger and save the second patty to use with burger buns at home for delicious burgers later! Five Guys is definitely becoming one of our favorite fast-food burger restaurants.
