Annie Chun's Udon Noodle Soup Bowl

When I tried Annie Chun's Udon Noodle Soup Bowl, I followed the microwave directions and put in a little more than half the soup base rather than the whole packet.

The udon noodles weren't mushy or anything so they were good, but the soup had a soy sauce taste that was a little overwhelming. It kind of tasted like someone tried to make a miso soup using soy sauce as the main ingredient.

I'm glad I didn't put the whole soup base in because I think the taste would have been way too strong for me. Overall, it was just an OK noodle soup.

El Monterey Shredded Steak & Cheese Burrito Packaging
El Monterey Shredded Steak & Cheese Burrito

The burritos in the box each come wrapped individually, and they are pretty quick to cook in the microwave (1 minute and 30 seconds on high). These burritos are smaller than the average restaurant burritos, but they were about the same size as many other microwavable burritos.

I don't like beans, so I liked that this burrito had no beans in it. The burrito tortilla was a little doughy, and the inside of the burrito has a texture a bit like paste (which doesn't sound great), but it's actually a decent microwavable burrito. The inside of the burrito tasted like a mixture of shredded beef, cheese, green chili, and some other seasonings. It was a teeny tiny bit spicy, and it tasted pretty good overall.

Box of Reser's Rigatoni Bolognese with Beef and Italian Sausage
Cooked Reser's Rigatoni Bolognese with Beef and Italian Sausage

I saw a box of this three cheese rigatoni bolognese pasta dinner, and I thought that it looked and sounded pretty good.

I cooked the rigatoni bolognese pasta by just following the microwave instructions. The pasta smelled kind of weird when I took it out of the microwave, and I was hoping it would taste better than it smelled.

The pasta noodle (rigatoni) was fine and didn't seem mushy or undercooked. The meat sauce was a little sweet and tasted like parmesan cheese that has had its flavors artificially preserved. The sauce with the cheese and beef had a very mushy texture. The overall taste of the pasta sauce and cheese seemed maybe OK at first, but after a few more bites it started tasting gross, and it just got worse the more I ate.
